Sugaring Benefits

PURE AND NATURAL INGREDIENTS

Completely natural made from organic ingredients, sugar, lemon and water. So natural you can eat it! Safe for the most sensitive skin.

MORE SANITARY

Hypoallergenic and non-comdogenic sugar paste is applied with a gloved hand and a fresh ball of sugar paste is used on each client, meaning no risk of cross contamination.

LESS PAINFUL

Sugar will not stick to live skin cells, only dead skin cells are removed, so there is no risk of abrasion or tearing.

NOT SO HOT

Sugar paste is luke warm when it is applied, So there is no risk of burning the skin.

BETTER TECHNIQUE

Sugar paste is applied against the direction of hair growth then removing the hair in the natural direction of growth … resulting in less painful hair removal and eliminating hair breakage.

EXTRACT VERY SHORT HAIRS

Hair growth only needs to be 1/8 inch after shaving or 1/8 inch after sugaring! (May vary depending on individual and hair type)

SUGARING IS GENTLE

Sugaring is so gentle it can remove the vellus hair on some woman’s faces and is safe for clients with sensitivities, eczema and psoriasis.

EASY CLEAN UP

Sugar paste dissolves easily with water leaving no sticky residue left on your skin.

How Sugaring Works

TECHNIQUE:

The Sugar paste is gently applied to the skin at luke warm temperature against the natural direction of hair growth. With a gentle flick of the wrist, the hair is removed in the natural direction of growth.

AFTERCARE + MAINTENANCE

  • Avoid touching the freshly sugared area with your hands
  • Don’t exfoliate the area to be sugared the day before, day of, or day after your sugaring treatment.
  • Avoid sun tanning for 24 hours: The skin will be more sensitive to UV rays.
  • Come to your appointment with clean dry skin, no lotions or oils.
  • It is very important to Exfoliate & Hydrate your skin!
  • Gently exfoliate the skin every 2-3 days to remove dead skin cells
  • Avoid loofah because they like to harbor lots of bacteria. Nylon gloves are a good alternative, (they can be cleaned in the washing machine).
  • Don’t forget to moisturize to keep the skin and hair follicles hydrated!

I strongly recommend using a natural body butter or moisturizer.

FAQs on Sugaring

IF I’M USING ACCUTANE, CAN I STILL SUGAR?

Sorry, but no. Accutane effects the whole body causing severe dryness. Wait at least 6 months after discontinuing use.

HOW OFTEN DO I SUGAR?

Because sugar can remove very short hair, in what’s called the antigen stage (pulling from the root). That starts to deplete the hair follice after time, resulting in your treatments being further apart.Typically 3-6 weeks, but it can vary from person to person.

CAN I SUGAR IF I’M PREGNANT?

You sure can. There are no toxic chemicals that could possibly enter your blood stream.

CAN I SUGAR IF I’M MENSTRUATING?

Yes, But you will typically be much more sensitive.

WHAT IF I’M USING RETIN-A OR RENOVA?

These products cause thinning and shedding of the skin. Please wait after the initial shedding process has ended, about 25 days.
